Underwater Tea Table was a performance that took place in Forfar Swimming Pool. There was a light projection of wallpaper shone into the pool through which I was swimming, trying to set the table for tea and sit on a chair which was rather difficult because of my boyauncy.
For me this performance combined all of my areas of interest; the interior domestic, the underwater environment, electromagnetism (light) and the feminine sublime as a state of immersion; not just as I was underwater, but relating to the process of doing and the process of performing, where I was putting my body through an unnatural state of holding my breath to become part of an artwork.
